makes three servings
I admittedly saw this on the Food Porn twitter account, but I’m glad I did.
I took a shortcut by using boxed Annie’s White Cheddar Mac n Cheese, but feel free to make your own from scratch. As for bread, I sliced up some challah from the JCC.
The cheese powder didn’t seem to be quite enough, so I added some parmesan for more flavor and a better consistency.
Ingredients
- one box of Annie’s mac n cheese
- milk
- parmesan, to taste (optional)
- six slices of bread
- 3 tbsp of butter, plus more for the pan
Prepare the mac n cheese according to the directions on the box, adding milk and parmesan until the desired consistency is reached. Butter the slices of bread, then put one third of the prepared mac n cheese on three slices of bread, butter side down. Sandwich with another slice, butter side up, and heat some more butter in a pan. Cook until both sides are golden brown.
